Categories and sub-categories

Registered participants will be grouped into pre-established categories based on the type of event, age, belt level, gender and weight. Consult the category tables.

A minimum of 2 participants per category is required. If only one candidate is registered for a given category, the candidate will be reclassified or refunded. If there are too many participants in the same category, it will be subdivided into two or more sub categories.

Each “full-knockdown” participant will have to provide a photograph with his registration form. Participants in full knockdown matches are not allowed to wear any protective equipment.

Guidelines for participants in combat

Weighing is mandatory for all  “full-knockdown” fighters. They must complete their registration by presenting themselves at the Claude Robillard Sports Complex on Friday, June 1st between 18:45 am and 9:00 pm.

For the sake of fairness and security, make sure the weight of each participant registered in combat is as accurate as possible. Note that an oversized gap between the weight of a participant the day before the tournament and the weight indicated in their entry form could lead to their disqualification.

Participants registered in the “semi-contact” or “semi-knockdown” competition must wear protective equipment in accordance with regulations.

Each “full-knockdown” participant will have to provide a photograph with his registration form. Participants in full knockdown matches are not allowed to wear any protective equipment.
